Who is E?
Hi, I’m Ella. I make photographs that move between music, fashion, and life, trying to capture how creativity flows, shifts, and carries memory across generations. Growing up in New York, I've been surrounded by the rhythms, style, and energy of a city that is always alive, always in motion — an environment that shaped how I see and feel the world.
For me, portraiture is never just about likeness but about translating emotion and history into a visual language. I work with collage, archival magazines, and everyday style to fold past and present into the same frame, exploring how identity is always in motion, always experimental, and always layered with meaning.
My work traces how presence moves through space and time, negotiating histories, joy, and rupture. I focus on a record of that attention, a way of holding moments, people, and cultural energy close, and I hope it encourages you to look, feel, and linger in the same way, noticing the histories, rhythms, and textures that shape our world.
